Today, I went to the rheumatologist because for the past two or so years, my hands have had a lot of pain, stiffness and feeling kind of tight. I can't even extend my fingers completely straight. I figured maybe arthritis due to past injuries and maybe the tremors are over working my hands.
I was wrong. Well, partially. It's rheumatoid arthritis in the joints of both my hands. That's why they hurt, and I didn't realize my joints were even swollen. I didn't and still don't know much about this type of arthritis, but I did discover that it's not just arthritis you can treat with Tylenol or aspercreme.
It can cause other health issues. So, while my doctor put me on meds to help my hands, and maybe they won't hurt so bad, I have no idea what other problems this has or will cause. Frustrating. At least, if the pain lessens in my hands, I can hand write my poems and short stories for longer period of time.
Time to go. Gotta do my podcast!
