I now have a new accessory. It may not seem like anything major, but to me, wearing a whistle is a bit different. I like my normal necklace, with my turtle charm and rose quartz crystal. Now, I have added the whistle.
Why would I wear a whistle? Well, the other day, I was hanging up my sweater on the hook, and I got dizzy once I lifted my arms. I literally hit one wall, bounced off that, and hit the wall across from it (this is a hallway), and fell.
Robert was in the bathroom. William and Louis were playing games with their headsets on.
I called out for William, but he didn't hear me. I called out for Louis, but he didn't hear me either. When Robert got out of the bathroom, he found me on the floor and helped me up. I mentioned that maybe I needed one of those buttons, but then he reminded me that those are connected to emergency services, and i know i definitely don't want paramedics to show up every time I fall. I'm hardly ever alone in the apartment, so I decided I needed something to get someone's attention if I fell or something else happened, and I needed their help. So, I bought a whistle. Robert suggested an "air horn" but I was not about to (1) carry it around with me (I'd probably drop it), (2) hang it around my neck, or (3) even blow it since the noise would just kill my head completely.
So I have the whistle. I don't look forward to using it, but it's there if I need it. So, if you see me with a whistle, no, I'm not coaching a team or being a gym teacher, I'm just being me.
